| Bio: | I'm 44 years old and happily married. I am childfree by choice; my 22-year-old stepson is in the Navy (serving in Guam). My husband and I have three dogs and four cats. I enjoy historical reenactments, horseback riding, collecting model horses, dog shows, reading, writing poems and short stories, theatre, music, movies, etc. I'm majoring in forensic anthropology, and someday I'll actually *finish* that degree. I have come, over the past few years, to understand the importance of *really* standing up for what I believe in on numerous issues, even in the face of censure (or attempted censorship). You will see this in my blog from time to time but, since there are others who write far more eloquently than I on these matters, you will more likely see me commenting in *their* journals.
I've just completed a Phantom of the Opera novel, In the Eye of the Beholder. I've received my first rejection, but am not letting it get me down (although it was disappointing, there were some criticisms with which I agreed, and I'll be acting on those). I am going to send it out to some other imprints for consideration.
